Dreaming of getting away from it all yet staying in Northwest Indiana? Schrader Auction has announced that they will auction off several tracts of land in Northwest Indiana. The land is primarily located in Crown Point, St. John, Lowell and Hebron. The tracts are primarily farmland and range in size from 3.6 acres to 172 acres. The auction will take place on Tuesday November 12, 2013 at St. Elijah Serbian Hall, 8700 Taft Street, Merrillville, Indiana. R.D. Schrader, President of Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company explains:
This will be a very significant event, because there has been an undersupply of larger Indiana farms relative to the market demand. . .”Essentially, we have four blocks of contiguous land, and three of those blocks are
being offered in tracts. Taken as a whole, about two-thirds of the land is tillable.
There is also some nice recreational and wooded land, and some of the land also has
development potential. Notably, it includes a 149-acre development tract less than
