Edgewater is not a nursing home. It is a residential treatment center for addiction and mental health issues.

Paula Palo, 59, went missing 12-08-13. She was last seen around noon wearing the same clothes as in these pictures: Jeans, black shirt (with a cross necklace), and a dark grey Dickies jacket. She is approx. 5’9-6’2, weighing 235 pounds. She lives in Gary In., at Edgewater Systems for Balanced living ((219) 885-4264): 1100 W. 6th Ave. My family has called all shelters, hospitals, & police stations, even the morgue. There is a missing persons report with the Gary police Dept. ((219)-881-1260), covering all of Lake County. She has heart problems & a bi-polar/schizophrenia disorder & NEEDS her meds. She does not make much sense of direction when not medicated. My family has been posting pictures on Facebook and Craigslist to get the word out. We have also tried contacting several news channels, radio stations, newspapers., and no one has got back to us. If you have any information of her where a bouts, please contact me at my cell ((219) 218-0624) and/or one of the above numbers. Thank you for your time. God Bless.

I have reposted your info on my Facebook feed. I worked with your mother while she resided at a mental health center in Valparaiso. I will be praying for her safe return as well as keeping an eye out.
