Another individual reported being robbed at gunpoint for a cell phone in Hammond today.  During the robbery, one shot was reportedly fired although no one was injured.   The robbery occurred at approximately 9:15 pm.  The victim reported that a black female in camo pants and a hoodie and a  black male wearing a red hoodie pointed a .32 handgun at him and demanded his cellular telephone and shoes.   The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Kenwood. Hammond has seen a string of cell phone robberies in past weeks.  In particular, there was a string of daytime cell phone robberies in Hessville that were solved with cooperation from Hammond, County and Gary police.
