1 Nov

Lake Station, Lake County-An early morning roll-over caused a semi to lose its load of paper temporarily shutting down the I-90 (Indiana Toll Road) to I-80/94 east bound ramp. Preliminary investigation by Trooper Arthur Latiker revealed that approximately 6:50 a.m., this Friday, November 1st, 2013,  A 2006 Freightliner pulling a box trailer driven by Andriy I. Burych, 28 of Hamtramck  Michigan ,was on the ramp from the Indiana Toll Road to go east on I-80/94 when Burych stated a car slammed on their brakes causing him to brake too. Burych lost control, veered right and rolled over. Burych was loaded with 42,000 pounds of paper garbage and was coming from Minneapolis, Minnesota going to Webberville, Michigan. Part of his load was lost in the grassy median and the top of his box trailer split open. The ramp was closed off and on until 9:20 a.m., for off-loading of the paper, up-righting of the semi and trailer. Burych was not injured.

Burych was cited for Speed too Fast to Avoid a Collision and was placed out of service for Non-Speaking English Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver.
