Ralph Levi, former Sheriff candidate in Porter County makes some shocking allegations.

Former Porter County Sheriff candidate Ralph Levi has publicly claimed that his opponent’s supporters shot at his home and that his car was vandalized.  On Facebook today Ralph Levi posted the following statement:

I will not run for Sheriff again in this election. Last Monday (21st) I spoke with Chairman Mike Simpson and Chief Mike Brickner and informed them of my decision. I have been involved with Republican politics for 47 years in Porter County and worked with many of you on various campaigns. I recieved nearly 20,000 votes in the last election but fell far short in a strange year. There are a few things you need to know about the opposition and I hope you tell your friends and push even harder for a Republican win in any office here.  .  .The Lain/Reynolds group of supporters shot my house twice during the campaign. I called the Indiana State Police since I could not trust the County at that point. My car was damaged 3 seperate times including being keyed, hood dented and outside mirror broken off. My wife was followed so closely on State Road 49 when she came home she couldnt see the grill of the marked or unmarked cars behind her. About 100 of my campaign signs were stolen or damaged beyond repair. If that wasnt enough, a Republican North County Councilman urged a lady to file a false police report against me just prior to the election. She personally told me about it and appologized to me months later. He even showed up in a front page newspaper photo while attending the Democratic election celebration for Lain. . .

The Gazette is following up on these allegations and will bring you further details early next week.  We wanted to share these shocking allegations.  The Gazette wishes to make clear that we have not verified the details of these allegations and they are made solely by Ralph Levi.

Not the only politician that does low tricks like that.. During McDermotts last campaign, we had some of his “crew” on video stealing the signs of George Janik, from our property.. not just once, but two nights in a row!!!!! From what I am told, they stole 90% of his signs during that run.. No surprise there though.

Speaking of low tricks, McDermott used the Election Board and his Democratic Majority that he placed on the board to knock Janiec off the ballot, only to have the Indiana State Supreme Court mandate his placement back on the ballot. BTW wasn’t Kevin Smith, Tom’s campaign manager and an attorney on the board as well? Shouldn’t this attorney known their actions were illegal? Of course he did.

And didn’t McDermott have some of his crew go out and shoot lug nuts at a couple of his most vocal opponents?

And didn’t McDermott have his people cut Marsha’s phone lines, make public private medical information?

And didn’t McDermott have some of his supporters cut City Councilman Markovich’s tires?

And didn’t McDermott have Woerpel or was it Fowler make allegations that a candidate did not live in Hammond, using water consumption as a means to challenge occupancy? McDermott lost on that one as well.

And didn’t McDermott have code enforcement stop at a candidate’s business, the very day they announced a run for Jr’s spot?

And didn’t McDermott take a business in front of the Public Works board, questioning their homestead and ownership of their residence?

And didn’t McDermott have one of his key street people pile tons of snow in front of the entrance of a mayoral candidate’s business?

Nothing like this in Lake county surprises me anymore. And that fact alone should be enough to question the complete lawlessness that exists with politics in the county. I was also not surprised to read some of the comments of the previous poster about the antics of McDermott and his cronies. Again, the corruption and complete disregard for the law in Lake County is just business as usual…

of course, this is all just business as usual in Lake County. Known to the most corrupt county in the State, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was also the worst in the midwest..

Fact, Bobbie Kennedy labeled Lake County the most corrupt county in the country when he was Attorney General.
