The Northwest Indiana Gazette has confirmed that Terrell Rush was arrested in Lafayette, Indiana and is being held in the Tippecanoe County Jail pending extradition. A spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department would only confirm that a “person of interest” was taken into custody in Indiana in connection with the home invasion sexual assaults. The incidents under investigation occurred last Wednesday in Chicago’s Washington Heights neighborhood according to police reports. In the first incident, at 4:00 am on Wednesday, a man broke into a home and sexually assaulted a 43 year old woman and her 22 year old daughter according to police reports. Just over an hour later, police report that an 11 year old found a man matching the same description in her closet. The girl screamed, the man fled and the 11 year old was not physically harmed. At approximately 6:30 a.m. police believe the same man dragged a 14 year old girl who was waiting for a school bus into bushes and raped her.

According to Lafayette, Indiana police, the US Marshalls service made the arrest in the college town. Calls to the US Marshall were referred to Chicago Police.
